As a part of a fundraiser for The Fugitive Kind Theatre Company, Cristina lent her talents to a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol in a benefit performance. It was a wonderful night that raised funds for this remarkable theatre company!

Cristina spent time in bucolic Maine working as an Actor in Residence at Maine Media Workshops. She offered her talents to many up and coming filmmakers and worked alongside the incomparable John Kent Harrison in his Masterclass for Directors.

Congratulations to The Minions, a new short film written by Joe Fiorillo and to be directed by Jeremiah Kipp, on a successful Indiegogo fundraising campaign. This dark, provocative film is slated to shoot in March 2014 and Cristina will play one of the witches minions in this supernatural thriller.

Cristina performed in She Spider by Andrea Lepcio as a part of the DIRTy SHORTs series at The Players Club in Gramercy Park. She was over the moon to have worked with such talented artists as Jenny Zerke and Carter Jackson.

Cristina just wrapped Mark Finguerra's film Awake with Donovan Patton, Karen Giordano and Chris Kerson. Cristina plays a gritty yet precious pregnant woman-in-love trying to steer her relationship to a better place. Stay tuned for screening information...

Cristina came alive in the carnie world of David Johnston's new play Coney. Performed in a workshop reading at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Cristina explored circus sideshow life as Tiffany, "the world's youngest Mormon sword swallower!" David's dramatic expertise filled this play with rich characters and poignant human moments.

Oct 2011. Cristina booked a small but pivotal role in the new pilot, Erroneous Convictions, shooting in the Bronx. In her scenes, she works directly with Jerry Sheindlin. The pilot is already getting great press as seen here in the NY Daily News...

Cristina booked a radio voiceover spot for the one and only Taco Bell.

December 2010. Cristina performed as the female lead in a reading of Oh, God (He's back.) written by Avery Corman. She had the pleasure of playing alongside a very talented cast including Jonathan Marc Sherman, Bob Dishy, Ron Cephus Jones, Judy Graubart, Sidney Williams, Geoff Gould and Jesse Pennington.

July 2010. Cristina puts her vocal stylings to work! Cristina was cast as Kate in the staged reading of the new musical The Joker's Game. She workshopped the project directed by Tony Stimac with musical direction by Jeffrey Stock. The entire creative team was involved which gave Cristina the honor of additionally working with James Racheff, Kemin Zhang and Mark Allen.

Cristina was seen on the big screen when The Ride was presented at the TESOL International Film & Art Exhibit Summer 2010. The Ride screened during the NYC film series on June 10, July 8 and August 5 at 36 W 44th Street, Ste 1203. Visit TESOL for more info.

Cristina continues to be part of the development of Fred Tumas' play WE. This January 2010, she performed in staged readings of the play in both NYC and Princeton, NJ. WE is a dramatization of Yevgemy Zamyatin's seminal dystopian novel.

The Ride, with Cristina's comic turn as the Ticket Officer, just won the Martin Scorsese Filmmaker's Award at NYU.

Burn Notice wants Cristina! Cristina had a final callback for an episode which films in Miami. She is sure to be headed south some time this season.

Cristina's doo gets booked! Cristina worked as a hair model for NYC's Vidal Sassoon Salon, taking her curls to new extremes -- quite a sight. Who knew her short curls could be teased to such enormous heights? Thanks to my very talented stylist Cristine.

Cristina played the pivotal role of the Ticket Officer in director Thomas Kim's, The Ride. The film screened at the Anthology Film Archives, 32 Second Avenue, NYC on 5/1 - 5/3/09.

Cristina continues to workshop the play WE, which came to life at the last reading and is now ready for an audience. Stay tuned for details. You won't want to miss this love story set in a world where its citizens have been unknowingly stripped of their freedoms.

To all her artist friends, Cristina highly recommends the Acting Success Now seminar led by Robert and Michelle Colt. Cristina recently participated in this awareness workshop and can't say enough good things about the expansive opportunities that have come her way as a result.

Cristina reprises her role as Laura in The Glass Menagerie on the big screen! Excerpts from work presented in early March were chosen to be filmed and used as a teaching tool for the Columbia Graduate School Film program. Cristina worked with director Katharine O'Brien on this project.

Congratulations to all the SAG Award winners and nominees. This year, Cristina was honored to serve on the SAG Awards TV nominating Committee. In addition to the nominated performances, she recommends two shows that were left off the list: Happy Go Lucky and The Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Cristina plays the cheerfully offbeat Ticket Officer of the great beyond in The Ride, directed by Thomas Kim starring Chris Kerson, Garrett Wang, and Marcia Haufrecht. The film completed shooting in December 2008 and is a black comedy about a group of people who took their own lives and their subsequent journey to the afterlife.

The film, Amen, directed by James Matthews is a psychological exploration of one woman's pursuit to reconcile her faith, her art, and her sexuality. Cristina plays that woman and her three different alter egos. Check out the trailer...

Cristina is workshopping the role of O in the play, We, adapted for the stage by Fred Tumas based on the novel by Yevgeny Zamyatin. The next reading is scheduled for Spring 2009.

Cristina filmed The Family Portrait directed by Tammy Han. In this quirky tale of sibling rivalry, Cristina plays Liz, her photographer brother's assistant.

Cristina received rave reviews for her portrayal of Lulu in The Birthday Party by Harold Pinter,directed by Terry Schreiber and presented in the Gloria Maddox Theatre at the T. Schreiber Studio. NYTheater.com wrote, “Cristina Doikos delivers a pert antidote to the melancholy that hangs in the air, and is reliably seductive and naïve at the same time .”
